Sydney
In-person in Manly & Rydalmere | Online across Australia and InternationallyProfessional Pastoral Supervision in Sydney
Supporting ministers, chaplains, principals, and Christian leaders across Sydney through reflective, professional supervision.
Sydney is one of Australia's most diverse ministry contexts.
On any given day, Christian leaders across our city are preaching, leading schools, caring for families, walking with people through crisis, navigating organisational change, and making complex decisions that affect the lives of many others.
It is deeply meaningful work.
It can also be demanding, emotionally taxing, and at times surprisingly isolating.
Professional Pastoral Supervision provides a confidential space to pause, reflect and think well about your leadership—helping you remain healthy, grounded and resilient for the long haul.
Whether you're serving in a local Sydney church, Christian school, chaplaincy role or a not-for-profit organisation, supervision offers the opportunity to step back from the constant demands of ministry and intentionally invest in your own leadership.
A Sydney supervisor who understands Sydney ministry
One of the greatest benefits of working with a local supervisor is shared context. Having lived, served and led in Sydney for many years, I understand that ministry on the Northern Beaches looks very different from ministry in Parramatta. A school chaplain faces different challenges from a parish rector. A Christian principal carries different responsibilities from a hospital chaplain or not-for-profit leader. Every context is unique. Yet each requires thoughtful leadership, emotional maturity, healthy boundaries and the capacity to remain present amid complexity. My role isn't to give advice or solve problems for you. It's to provide a safe, reflective space where you can think clearly, notice what is happening beneath the surface, and lead with greater wisdom and confidence.
In-Person Locations
Manly
For those serving across the Northern Beaches, Lower North Shore and Sydney CBD, I offer appointments in beautiful Manly from St Matthews on the Corso,
Whether you're travelling from Mosman, Neutral Bay, North Sydney, Dee Why, Brookvale or surrounding suburbs, Manly provides a peaceful environment away from the pressures of ministry where you can slow down and reflect.
There is free 2hr parking at the council carpark near the library or a stroll down the Corso from Manly Wharf.
Rydelemere
For those serving throughout Parramatta, Ryde, Eastwood, the Hills District and Greater Western Sydney, I also offer appointments from Shepherd's Wharf Anglican Church in Rydalmere.
The location offers free parking and easy access from many parts of Western Sydney, making regular supervision practical and sustainable, or is just a 10 minute walk from Rydelemere wharf.
A few other things you might be curious about:-
With more than twenty years of ministry leadership experience, I understand both the privilege and the pressure of Christian leadership.
My supervision integrates:
theological reflection
reflective practice
Bowen Family Systems thinking
vocational resilience
emotional maturity
professional supervision standards
Rather than focusing only on immediate problems, we work together to cultivate the habits, awareness and resilience that enable faithful leadership over many years.
Because sustainable ministry isn't built during the easy seasons.
It's built through intentional reflection over time.
-
While many people appreciate the flexibility of online supervision, there is something valuable about physically stepping away from your workplace and entering a dedicated space for reflection.
Driving to supervision, putting your phone away, and taking time to think deeply often becomes part of the reflective process itself.
Many supervisees tell me that this rhythm becomes one of the healthiest investments they make in their ministry.
Of course, if distance or schedule makes travel difficult, I also offer online supervision across Australia.
-
Professional supervision doesn't begin and end with your appointment.
I regularly write about topics including:
vocational resilience
healthy leadership
self-care in ministry
emotional maturity
reflective practice
calling
