Reflecting on Mission, Self, and Practice

At the end of an immersive ministry week, it’s easy to move on without pausing to notice what has actually taken place—internally, relationally, and spiritually. This session creates space for students to slow down, reflect, and integrate their experience through a pastoral supervision lens.

What word or image captures your week?

What We’ll Explore:

  • Reflect on your lived experience in ministry

  • Notice your internal responses (emotional, spiritual, relational)

  • Grow in self-awareness and ministry insight

  • Learn a simple framework for ongoing reflective practice

These quick prompts are designed to help you capture your first, instinctive thoughts. Even in a short burst of writing, you can gain clarity, notice hidden patterns, and discover insights that might otherwise stay beneath the surface when you get caught in overthinking

  • The time I felt most stretched, uncomfortable or unsure was when...

  • The things that most surprised me about myself was...
